T-Constitution
Ten principles. One operating system.
Hire for potential over pedigree.
Potential compounds. Pedigree plateaus.
Experience deserves respect, but it shouldn't be the only reason someone gets an opportunity. The people who make the biggest difference are often the ones who are still learning, still curious and still willing to prove themselves.
Define success before expecting it.
Confusion creates hesitation. Clarity creates momentum.
People shouldn't have to guess what success looks like. Clear goals, meaningful KPIs and defined ownership remove friction, making accountability fair and progress visible.
Take ownership before you're asked.
See the problem. Own the solution.
The biggest impact often comes from the people who don't wait to be asked. They notice what needs to be done, step in when they can and see things through.
Freedom requires responsibility.
Freedom without responsibility becomes chaos. Responsibility without freedom becomes control.
People do their best work when they have the freedom to make decisions and the responsibility to stand behind them. That's how trust, accountability and growth reinforce one another.
Normalise feedback.
Silence creates assumptions. Feedback creates clarity.
People deserve to know where they stand. Honest, timely feedback builds trust because it gives people the opportunity to improve while it still matters.
Lead with empathy.
Empathy without accountability creates confusion. Accountability without empathy creates fear.
Empathy isn't avoiding difficult conversations. It's having them with honesty, respect and courage.
Design for scale.
Talent creates impact. Systems create scale.
The strongest organisations aren't built around individuals. They're built on systems that make success repeatable.
Stay curious.
Curiosity fuels growth. Certainty slows it.
Experience is valuable. Curiosity keeps it relevant. Stay open to new ideas, better ways and different perspectives.
Keep it simple.
Complexity creates friction. Simplicity creates progress.
Simple doesn't mean easy. It means making the important things easier to understand, easier to use and easier to repeat.
Leave a legacy.
What you build matters. What outlasts you matters more.
The goal isn't to be remembered. It's to leave things better than you found them and make sure they continue to grow long after you're gone.
