Mission Brief

Building Culture Through Rituals

People • Culture • Completed

Culture isn't built through one big initiative. It's shaped by small moments repeated consistently.

Overview

Culture isn't created through one annual event or a list of company values.

It's built through the small moments that people experience every week.

The goal was to create simple rituals that strengthened connection, encouraged open communication and made people feel genuinely part of the organisation.

The Challenge

As the organisation grew, maintaining the same sense of connection became increasingly difficult.

People needed more opportunities to share how they were feeling, celebrate together and stay connected beyond their day to day work.

The Situation

Rather than relying on occasional engagement initiatives, the focus shifted towards creating consistent experiences that became part of everyday organisational life.

These experiences needed to be simple, repeatable and meaningful.

My Approach

We introduced Mood Pulse, a regular employee check in designed to understand how people were feeling, what motivated them and where they needed support.

Alongside this, we introduced initiatives such as No Reason Holiday, team celebrations and other cultural rituals that encouraged connection, recognised achievements and created moments people genuinely looked forward to.

Each initiative was intentionally simple. Together they helped shape a workplace where listening, appreciation and shared experiences became part of the culture.

Impact
  • Created regular opportunities for employees to share their voice.
  • Improved visibility into employee sentiment through Mood Pulse.
  • Strengthened team connection through consistent cultural rituals.
  • Built a more engaging and people centred workplace experience.
Looking Back

People rarely remember policies.

They remember how a workplace made them feel.

The smallest rituals often create the strongest cultures because they remind people that they matter.
