Mission Brief

Building a Feedback Culture

People • Culture • Completed

Built a culture where feedback became a regular conversation instead of an annual event, making discussions more open, meaningful and actionable across the organisation.

Overview

Creating a culture of feedback was never about introducing another HR process. It was about making honest conversations a natural part of everyday work.

The goal was to move feedback away from annual reviews and make it something people expected, valued and acted upon throughout the year.

The Challenge

Feedback often happened only when something went wrong or during formal review cycles.

As a result, small issues remained unresolved, achievements went unnoticed and growth conversations became less meaningful.

The Situation

The organisation needed a more consistent way to encourage conversations between managers and team members.

People needed clarity, recognition and coaching throughout the year rather than waiting for scheduled review discussions.

My Approach

I focused on making feedback simple and consistent.

We introduced regular feedback rhythms, encouraged managers to have more frequent conversations and positioned feedback as a tool for growth rather than evaluation.

The objective was to create an environment where giving and receiving feedback became normal rather than uncomfortable.

Impact
  • Regular feedback conversations became part of everyday work.
  • Managers became more proactive in coaching their teams.
  • Employees gained greater clarity around expectations and personal growth.
  • Feedback evolved from an annual event into an ongoing habit.
Looking Back

The best feedback cultures are built one conversation at a time.

When people know feedback comes from a place of trust and development, they stop fearing it and start looking forward to it.
